Services/Prestations
As a doula, I provide personalized and compassionate support for expecting and new Mothers, and their partners. From prenatal to postnatal care and birth support, I am here to help you navigate this exciting journey with confidence and ease.
Prenatal Consultation
As a doula, I can give you and your partner the support you need to have the best birth possible. We can sit down together and create your birth plan, talk about your concerns, and learn pain management techniques. I am here to give you the space to talk, without judgment All of my consultations are strictly confidential.
Birth Presence
As Doulas are becoming more and more known here in France, being present at birth is more feasible. I offer you and your partner the support you need during labor. This can include birth with or without an epidural, in a maternity hospital, or at home, with the presence of medical personnel. Contact me for more info.
Postpartum Consultation
After the birth of a baby, comes a very new, beautiful, and intense moment in your life. Luckily, I can be there to guide you. These are only a few of the areas I can support you with: hormonal/body changes, postpartum wrapping/rebozo techniques, lactation and feeding, household tasks, help with an older sibling, and being there to listen to any concerns that may arise.
Online Services
Sometimes, it can be difficult to meet face to face, or maybe you just need to be listened to. In that case, I can offer you a consultation online.
Online Consultation
In an Online Prenatal/Postnatal Consultation, I can be there for emotional support, guide you on any concerns, or just be there to listen.
About Me
Hi there! I am an American living in France and have been here for almost 11 years! I originally come from New Mexico, which is in the Southwest of the U.S.
I wanted to help other women through the process of birth, especially because of what I went through. I had two pretty difficult labors, and the first one, I barely spoke the language and had no idea what I was doing or how to deal with these new, intense feelings. Although my partner was incredibly involved, I still felt a desire to talk to someone about what I was going through.
I had always wanted a Doula, but at that point, I had no idea they existed here in France. My Midwives and Gynecologists did a fantastic job at delivering both babies, but I definitely felt the emotional piece missing. Come to find out, their situation is not good, and they are snowed under with work. The emotional side is not their priority. Normal!
This is when I really researched what a Doula was. And surprise! They DO exist in France! I finally felt like I found what I was destined to do- to help expatriate women (or any woman) and their partners/families navigate the new world of birth, with the extra added layer of a new system, language, and culture.
